Alexandru Slusari was an active participant and organizer of anti-government protests which the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) organized in the period 2015-2016. In 2015 he was elected deputy chairman of this party.
Mr. Slusari competed for a ticket in Parliament as a candidate of ACUM bloc in the uninominal constituency №28 in Chisinau, where he lost to Sociaslist Vlad Batrincea. Yet he made his way into the legislative body as a candidate on the national candidate list - his name was on the third spot. He is one of the four deputy presidents of Parliament and the head of the parliamentary commission that investigates the 2014 bank fraud.
Alexandru Slusari holds a diploma in law from the Moldovan State University and worked as a legal specialist at a number of entities – this was his job during his entire professional career. Mr. Slusari was chairman of UniAgroProtect, an association of agricultural producers, and owns a company called Rural-Asig SRL.
