Bogdat Tirdea, also known by his surname Bogdan, is a doctor in political and historic sciences, and is also a public relations specialist; he graduated from the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest, Romania. Upon return to Moldova in 2003 he frequently appeared in the media as a political analyst and commentator.

In 2005 and 2009 Mr. Tirdea attempted to enter the parliament as a candidate from the Social Democratic Party. He only succeeded in 2014, as a member of the Socialists Party. In the parliamentary elections on 24 February 2019 he earned a second mandate thanks to the same party.
