Biography
Carolina Ciugureanu-Mihailuta was one of the 18 candidates among law lecturers who competed for a seat in the High Council of Magistrates (CSM). She also was one the three candidates who earned maximum points in a contest the Parliament organized early in 2020. On 17 March 2020 her candidacy was approved by the ruling majority of Socialists and Democrats.
Mrs. Ciugureanu-Mihailuta holds a doctoral degree in law and - her CV says - “has earned more than 20 years of academic experience and legal expertise.” Her career started back in 1999 as a legal adviser at Taurex SRL, and later at Artsana Cosmetic SRL. She also acted as an academic assistant at the Department for General Economics and Law within the Moldovan Academy of Economic Sciences. She successfully advanced to the position of university lecturer and then associate professorr - the latter is still her present-day job.
