It is a trader and one of the largest exporters of cereals and oil-seeds in Moldova. The dizzying evolution of the company began after 2013 when it became a shared property of the Cypriot offshore company Trezeme Limited and businessman Vaja Jhashi. Agrofloris-Nord has now been listed as one of the biggest companies in Moldova, both in terms of turnover and equity.
In 2015, the company was caught in a scandal linked to the manipulation of the foreign exchange market, a case reported by RISE Moldova in the "Lion Poacers" investigation. Moreover, tax officials who reviewed Agrofloris-Nord’s operations with companies suspected of VAT evasion in late 2016 - early 2017 found that Agrofloris-Nord itself had received illegal VAT refunds worth millions of lei.
In 2019, Agrofloris-Nord reported a turnover of more than 5 billion lei and losses of some 18 million lei.
