He has graduated from the Musical Lyceum in Tiraspol (Transnistrian region) in 1994. According to his CV, after the school, he served in the armed forces. In 1998 Mr. Gorban got employed at the police department in Anenii Noi District and in parallel continued his studies at the International Management Institute.

In 2007, Nicolae Gorban quit the police job and got hired as a legal consultant at the law firm Bias-Trans SRL. Two years later he got promoted as the manager of Octaspex-Trans SRL. Between 2012 and 2017 – the year he was elected as the chairman of the Causeni District, Mr. Gorban worked as the manager of Testareprim Auto SRL, which is a firm founded by his wife Corina Gorban.

In the 2019 parliamentary elections, we found Nicolae Gorban on the 37th position in the candidate list of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM). He donated 50,000 lei to PDM during that campaign.

During the early parliamentary elections in 2021, Gorban was again included in PDM’s list of candidates, this time under number 14, but the party didn’t earn any seats in the renewed parliament.
