In 2015, Serghei Anastasov was elected as the mayor of Comrat, on a ticket from a party called Partidul Nostru (Our Party). In 2019 he renewed his mandate but this time as a member of the Socialists Party.

In 1997, he became the owner of Goliat-Vita SRL, a furniture maker that is run by his spouse Ludmila Anastasova.

Goliat-Vita SRL’s statutory capital amounts to more than 2 million lei, and the firm is held 50/50 by the Anastasovs.
