A judo wrestler and master of sports, Mr. Brasovschi became a member of the Parliament in 2011, on behalf of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM). In the 24 February 2019 elections he was fielded as a PDM candidate in the uninominal constituency №12 Singerei, where he won the ballot.

Before running for the Parliament he had worked for many years as mayor of Singerei, his native town. He served as the chief executive administrator during 2003-2011 and then 2015-2019.

In July 2009 he joined the PDM staff and took an active part in the party campaigns, primarily in Singerei.

Gheorghe Brasovschi was previously known as a supporter of the Party of Communists (PCRM). his name appears in the list of PCRM candidates for the April 2009 parliamentary elections.

He is a graduate from the Moldovan Agricultural University and the Public Administration Academy to the President of the Republic of Moldova.
