Nina Vascan had studied law at the Moldovan State University before getting hired as an intern at the prosecution office in Suvorov (now Stefan-Voda) District in 1982. A year later she was promoted to act as an assistant to the district prosecutor in the same district.

In 1987 Nina Vascan obtained a post at the Persecutor-General’s Office, as a prosecutor. In 1990 she terminated her career in the prosecution domain and got appointed as a judge at the Supreme Court. Six years later she continued at the Chisinau Tribunal, which she headed as its deputy chairwoman later on.

In 2003 Mrs. Vascan was appointed to the Chisinau Court of Appeals, where she worked until December 2017; she then accepted a post at the Supreme Court of Justice. She received the Labor Glory Order in 2013 from then President Nicolae Timofti.
