Iurie Levinschi graduated from the Technical Agricultural College in Tiraspol and later from the Moldovan State Agricultural University (UASM) in Chisinau, earning experience as a technologist-agronomist. Immediately after those studies, he got hired at the mayoralty of Crasnoarmeiscoe commune in Hincesti District, and one year later, in 1997, he returned to the UASM as a specialist.

During 1998-2008, Mr. Levinschi worked for a number of firms, as an agronomist or manager, and in 2009 he was promoted to the post of manager of Servital, an agricultural cooperative where he owns 20% of stake.

In 2014, he was elected as a councilor in Crasnoarmeiscoe, being also a substitute candidate of the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM) in the Hincesti district council. Two years on, Mr. Levinschi moved to Hincesti in order to replace a district councilor who had resigned. In 2018, however, he too gave up the job and quit the cooperative administration in return for his promotion to the office of deputy chairman of Hincesti District who oversees the economic affairs.

In the autumn 2019 local elections, Iurie Levinschi successfully renewed his mandate in the Hincesti district council, and shortly afterward filled in the post of district chairman.
