Alexandru Gheorghies began his career in 2002 with his appointment as a judge in Glodeni. He had earlier acted as a legal consultant, customs inspector, prosecuting aide, and for a time was the elected mayor in Fundurii Vechi, a village currently in Glodeni District.

He’s been on a permanent professional rise ever since was part of the judiciary. In four years upon arrival in the court Mr. Gheorghies got to run it - as long as till 2012; that year he obtained a job transfer to the Balti Court of Appeal. In just one month he advanced to the post of its chairman.

In late 2017 judge Gheorghies was elected a member of the High Council of Magistrates and began acting there only in March 2018. However he did not complete his four-year mandate in the High Council of Magistrates - within a few months he returned to the Balti Court of Appeal, resuming his activity in the previous position.
