A lawyer by training, Iurie Perevoznic’s career started in the Prosecution Office of Riscani District in Chisinau, as an assistant to the district prosecutor. In 2000 Mr. Perevoznic was promoted to the status of senior prosecutor in the Prosecutor-General’s Office, and in 2003 he was appointed as the Parliament Ombudsman at the Moldovan Human Rights Center.
In 2008 his mandate at the Human Rights Center terminated and he returned to the Prosecutor-General’s Office where he worked until 2016. In that year he retired from the public service and opened a law office.
Iurie Perevoznic made a comeback to the public service in 2019 - he was appointed the inspecting judge at the High Council of Magistrates. Half a year later, the new prosecutor-general, Alexandr Stoianoglo, hired Mr. Perevoznic as his deputy.
