Mihail Popsoi’s professional career began in 2009, as a project manager at the NATO Information Center in Moldova. He also worked as a political analyst at the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau and then as an analyst for political and security risks at Jamestown Foundation, a research and analysis institution based in Washington D.C., and later at Kondrat Adenauer Foundation, and the Moldovan Foreign Policy Association.
He stepped into politics in September 2017, as deputy chairman of the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) led by former education minister Maia Sandu. At the parliamentary elections in February 2019 Mr. Popsoi successfully competed in the uninominal constituency № 32 Chisinau on behalf of ACUM bloc, which is made of PAS and the Dignity and Truth Platform. In June 2019 he was elected deputy president of Parliament.
Mihail Popsoi also obtained a doctoral degree in political studies at the Milano University, Italy.
