He studied journalism at the Moldovan State University and later completed a master in international relations at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies in Bucharest, Romania.
He left behind eight years of work in the media industry before moving to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he filled in a few jobs - from a department chief to ambassador. He also took a three-year break to dedicate time to run the Moldovan representation of British American Tobacco, one of the largest tobacco manufacturers in the world.
Iurie Renita won a ticket to the Parliament in the uninominal constituency № 26 Chisinau, as a candidate from ACUM, a bloc made up of the Dignity and Truth Party (DA) and the Action and Solidarity Party. He is a member of the DA faction and chairman of the commission for foreign policy and European integration.
