Oxana Robu has been active in the Moldovan judiciary system since 1996. Her career started as an intern at the Riscani District Court in Chisinau, where she also worked as a consultant. In 2004 Mrs. Robu was appointed a judge at the Ciocana District Court, for a five year term.

In 2009, shortly before the mandate was due to close, the Moldovan president extended her judge’s status until her retirement age, 65. Oxana Robu continued working at the Ciocana District Court. In 2014 she was appointed a judge at the Court of Appeal in the capital.

In 2015 RISE Moldova published an investigation exposing how Oxana Robu and other magistrates acquired government-subsidized apartments in a capital’s downtown district. She sold her new 72-square-meter apartment in 2018 but never mentioned this transaction in an official revenue statement for the National Integrity Authority.

Also in 2015 RISE Moldova discovered that in spite of being homeless on papers Oxana Robu yet lived in a luxury home in the center of Chisinau, which formally was a property of her parents. Shortly before this fact went public the house was donated to her son.
