Ivan Paslari graduated from the Odessa Polytechnical Institute in Ukraine – currently the National Polytechnical University – and began his career as a transportation engineer at the state-run
Mechanical Association in Taraclia, Moldova. He was later promoted to the top management in this association.
In 1992, he entered the private business and for the next 30 years he was running two firms: freights service Servis Libera SRL, where Mr. Paslari was a minority associate, and cereals grower Agrogled SRL.
His political career kicked off at the 2015 local elections. He won a seat in the Taraclia District Council as part of the Socialists Party team. In 2019 he was re-elected and earned his colleagues’ support to become the chairman of the council.
Ivan Paslari is a member of the Afghanistan War Veterans Union.
